about
Sound designer, performer and trumpeter, he graduated with honours in Electronic Music from the L. Cherubini Conservatory in Florence and is currently studying for a two-year Master degree in Sound Design at the G. B. Martini Conservatory in Bologna.
Having initially trained in classical music, he developed a strong interest in electronic music, sound design and sound art, directing his artistic practice primarily towards the study of soundscapes, multi-channel diffusion and sound spatialisation techniques, acousmatic composition, electroacoustic improvisation and the design of multimedia installations.
In recent years, he has collaborated with groups such as the Bologna Improvisation Group and the Tempo Reale Electroacoustic Ensemble, releasing his first solo work, PEM! – Paesaggi Elettronicamente Modificati, a collection of soundscape compositions inspired by R. Murray Schafer’s essay The Soundscape – Our Sonic Environment and the Tuning of the World. During the same period, he joined the Bologna-based electronic post-rock project Edera as a trumpeter, co-curated Suonforma – Festival of Acousmatic Music and Sound Arts, and undertook an Erasmus+ exchange at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen during the winter semester of 2025/2026.
Alongside his work in sound design and sound art, since 2015 he has pursued a musical career as a trumpeter in various bands on the Florentine underground scene with whom he has recorded four studio albums and performed at numerous concerts in Italy and abroad, including a tour of Mexico in 2022.
Some of his works have been selected for festivals and events such as Magnetica | Incontri di Musica Elettronica (IT), Festival Imersivo (PT), Sonic Arts Summer Academy (GR), Spatial Audio Gathering (UK), Marginale (IT), INNER_SPACES (IT).
